About a million Entergy Louisiana customers will pick up the tab for a billion-and-a-half dollars in repairs from Hurricane Ida.
The utility says residential customers will have about $5.50 added to their monthly bill for the next 15 years.
The charge will cover the remaining costs of damaged electrical equipment and the armies of utility workers who restored power after the storm
Entergy Louisiana customers will pay the fee, not Entergy New Orleans customers.
