Addis Police Officer Faces Charges In Chase That Killed Two Teens

An officer with the Addis Police Department faces charges for a chase that killed two teenagers in Brusly.

Baton Rouge police tried to pull over a man who had reportedly stolen a relative's car on Saturday.

The resulting high-speed chase led through Brusly and then back into Baton Rouge, where it ended and the suspect was arrested.

The chase resulted in a crash on State Highway 1 in Brusly that killed 17-year-old Maggie Dunn and 15-year-old Caroline Gill, and injured a passenger.

Addis Officer David Cauthron faces two charges of negligent homicide and a charge of negligent injuring.
