Several Baton Rouge businesses closed Monday after bank employees fell ill after handling a stack of flyers.

Officials say workers at the Investar bank on Coursey Boulevard became sick after touching flyers that had been left in their drop-off box.

The illnesses caused nearby businesses to close as a precaution.

Officials say three employees were taken to the hospital and police are investigating.
