The state has more than $1 billion in federal aid on the way to help with recovery from the storms of the past two years.

Gov. John Bel Edwards announced on Tuesday that the Louisiana Division of Administration has signed a second grant agreement with the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The agreement sets up a line of credit for recovery from Hurricane Ida and the storms of May 2021.

A separate line of credit will help with recovery from Hurricanes Laura and Delta in 2020.
