Over a dozen states have passed so-called "trigger laws" - abortion bans designed to go into effect if Roe v. Wade is overturned.

Arkansas, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming have these laws that would practically ban abortion if the landmark case was overturned.

The case the Supreme Court is considering that would effectively overturn Roe v Wade involves a Mississippi law that would ban nearly all abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
