A former Baton Rouge assistant principal is off to prison without the possibility of parole for the 2016 murder of a pregnant teacher.

An East Baton Rouge Parish jury sentenced Robert Marks on Thursday. Investigators say Marks was married when he had an affair with Lyntell Washington, and killed her when she was seven-months pregnant with his child. Marks was convicted in December of murder, kidnapping, carjacking, obstruction of justice, using a gun to commit a violent act, and feticide, which is the killing of an unborn child.
