Winn-Dixie plans to permanently close its Burbank Drive store next month.
A company executive confirmed the upcoming closure on Wednesday. The company didn't say why the store is closing or give an exact date when it will shut down.
All employees who want to keep working for Winn-Dixie have been offered jobs at other locations.
Winn-Dixie's four other Baton Rouge-area stores will remain in business.
