Entergy Releases Estimated Power Restoration Times

Entergy has released updated estimated power restoration times for customers impacted by Hurricane Ida.

  • 9/3 - Port Allen (Point Coupee, West Baton Rouge, and Iberville parishes), Zachary (East and West Felicana parishes)
  • 9/4 - New Orleans Central Business District
  • 9/6 - Baton Rouge Metro
  • 9/7 - Gonzales, Denham Springs, Chalmette (St. Bernard and upper parts of Plaquemines Parish)
  • 9/8 - Metairie-Kenner, Westbank (including Westbank of Jefferson Parish), Algiers, New Orleans East, Orleans Parish
  • 9/17 - Hammond (Parts of St. Tammany and all of Tangipahoa Parish)
  • 9/22 - Labadieville (Parts of Assumption, Lafourche and Terrebonne parishes)
  • 9/24 - Amite/Bogalusa
  • 9/29 - Reserve (Parts of St. John, St. Charles, St. James and Ascension Parish), Luling (Most of St. Charles Parish), Terrebonne, Lockport, St. Rosalie Buras (Most of Plaquemines Parish)

“We understand the extreme difficulty of living without power, and hope that these estimated times of restoration can help customers better plan and prepare for the coming days, and for those in the hardest-hit areas, weeks ahead,” said Rod West, Entergy group president, utility operations. “We recognize the hardship this historic storm has wrought on our communities and across our region. We ask that our customers remain safe, and we appreciate their extended patience. Please know that thousands of employees and contractors are currently in the field working day and night to restore power. We will continue working until every community is restored.”

The company later released this neighborhood update for New Orleans:

Power will be restored by 9/3 for the vast majority of customers in the following areas: B.W. Cooper, Black Pearl, Carrollton/Riverbend, CBD along Poydras, Gert Town, Iberville, Hollygrove, Leonidas, Maple Area, Marlyville-Fountainbleau, Upper Audubon, Uptown Triangle.

Power will be restored by 9/4 for the vast majority of customers in the following areas: Along Canal St., Bayou St. John, City Park, East Riverside, Lafayette Square, Lakeshore/Lake Vista, Lakeview, Lakewood, Lower Garden District, Mid-City, Navarre, Pontchartrain Point, Small portion of New Orleans East along Paris Rd., St Thomas, Treme-Lafitte, Tulane-Gravier, Warehouse District, West End.

Power will be restored by 9/5 for the vast majority of customers in the following areas: Audubon, Audubon, West Riverside, Broadmoor, Central City, Dillard, Fairgrounds, Freret, Holy Cross, Irish Channel, Little Woods, Milan, St Bernard, Touro, Uptown, West Riverside.

Power will be restored by 9/6 for the vast majority of customers in the following areas: Bywater, Desire, Fairgrounds Triangle, Filmore, Florida area, Gentilly Terrance, Gentilly Woods, Lake Terrace and Oaks, Lower Night Ward, Marigny, St. Anthony, St. Claude, Treme-Lafitte.

Power will be restored by 9/7 for the vast majority of customers in the following areas: Lake Forest Estates, Plum Orchard, Ponchatrain Park, Read Blvd East and West, parts of Viavant-Ventian Isles.

Power will be restored by 9/8 for the vast majority of customers in the following areas: New Aurora, Holly Cross, Cutoff, Aurora Oaks, Village Aurora, Aurora Gardens, Wimbel/Sutton/Durham, Bocage/Tennyson, English Turn, Park Timbers, Real Timbers, Tall Timbers, Tall Timbers Ext., Lennox Blvd, Lakewood Estates, Behrman, Oakdale, Whitney, Main Street, Park Place, Algiers Point, Algiers Riverview, Old Algiers, US Naval Base, Tunisburg Square, St. Claire Gardens, Steeple Chase/ DeBattista, Huntlee Village, Walnut Bend, Fischer.

Power will be restored by 9/25 for the vast majority of customers in the following areas: Lake Catherine, Viavant – Venetian Isles, Village De L’est, Chef Menteur and Industrial Parkway.
