Severe Storms Leave Damage Behind In Baton Rouge Area

Severe storms wreaked havoc on the Baton Rouge area this weekend.

The Bear Creek Western Store in St. Helena Parish reported that their roof was ripped off by a possible tornado yesterday morning. The store reported major damage and said it will be closed for a while for repairs.

The National Weather Service had issued a severe thunderstorm warning for St. Helena Parish at the time of the suspected twister around 8:30 a.m. yesterday. The store, which is over 50 years old, wasn't open when the storm hit.
