The Louisiana Department of Transportation is announcing the Plaquemine ferry will resume normal service hours beginning Saturday, December 8th.
The ferry expanded operations after the bridge was closed due to damage caused when a crane on a barge collided with the bridge on October 12th.
Since the bridge has now partially re-opened, hours will return to normal, running between 4:30 am and 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
