A 14-year-old student at Capitol Middle School is facing multiple charges after allegedly pulling a loaded handgun out of his backpack Thursday during an altercation with two other students.
A school resource officer stepped into de-escalate the situation and seized the weapon without anyone being injured.
The seventh grader was arrested for bringing a firearm onto school property and aggravated assault.
