Evacuated Mobile Home Residents Return Following Chemical Scare

Those living in dozens of mobile homes along Victoria Drive in Baton Rouge are back in their residences after an hours-long evacuation Monday.

The precautionary move took place after a tanker truck parked at an Airline Highway business began venting the chemical acrylamide-50 after an inhibitor designed to keep chemicals from mixing failed.

No injuries were reported as a result of the foul odor emitted during the event.
