BRPD Makes Second Arrest In Recent Homicide

A second man is now in custody in connection with a homicide that occurred late last week in Baton Rouge.

Police said Sunday that 27-year-old Corey Chaney had turned himself in and was charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of 57-year-old Curley Woods.

It was Friday that 28-year-old William Womack was arrested in the killing that took place early last Thursday morning on Jackson Avenue near Plank Road.
