(Baton Rouge, LA)  --  Folks caught in Baton Rouge with less than 14 grams of marijuana would no longer face jail time under an amended ordinance approved by Metro Council members.  The action taken yesterday reduces the penalty for violations to fines only.  First-time offenders would have to fork over 40-dollars, 60-dollars for a second offense, 80-dollars for a third offense, with fines for subsequent offenses at 100-dollars each.  Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome is expected to sign the measure.
