(WBRZ News 2) Authorities are investigating reports of an attempted kidnapping outside the Mall of Louisiana Wednesday afternoon.
According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, the incident happened around 1 p.m. in the mall parking lot outside Dillard's.
The sheriff's office says a worker was walking to the employee entrance near a loading dock when a vehicle pulled up behind her. An unidentified man then allegedly got out and attempted to pull her into the vehicle.
Deputies say the employee was able to escape the stranger and call authorities.
