A pedestrian is fighting for his life in a Baton Rouge hospital after being struck and critically injured by a train late last night in the capital city.
His name hasn't been released, but he is said by police to be 49.
Early on, police investigating the accident say the man was apparently trying to cross the tracks in the area of Scenic Highway at Swan Avenue when he was hit by the northbound freight train.
