Folks flooded out of their Baton Rouge-area homes in August 2016 are being reminded it won't be cheap to remain in their FEMA supplied trailers when disaster assistance ends.

That'll be early next year and WBRZ News 2 reports that monthly rent for some of the housing units will exceed $1,000 a month.

The disaster assistance program is scheduled to end on Valentine's Day, 18 months after floodwaters chased hundreds from their homes.
