A Denham Springs woman is facing negligent homicide and other charges in a deadly crash on I-12 that left a five-month-old baby dead.
Jessica Cowart surrendered to police yesterday. Investigators found that the 23-year-old was speeding and texting in her GMC Sierra when she rear-ended an SUV in October, critically injuring Reese Graham when her car seat slammed into the dashboard.
The baby died two days later.
