A bipartisan summit is set for January 19th when a discussion will be held toward a goal of altering the way Louisiana draws congressional and legislative districts.

State lawmakers currently are charged with the redrawing of maps. The summit will focus partly on the problem of gerrymandering in the state and how to get rid of it.

The group Fair Districts Louisiana wants to see politics taken out of the redistricting process.
