Police say an elderly Plaquemine woman is dead after being accidentally shot by her grandson.
They say 67-year-old Kathleen Fulton was killed late yesterday afternoon and a dog wounded after 19-year-old Blaise Horton pulled the trigger on a gun that the magazine had fallen out of. The teen believed the weapon was empty.
Horton is facing a negligent homicide charge.
