On Wednesday night (September 13), South Park kicked off it's 21st season with an episode that tackled the issue of Confederate flags, and poked fun at the growing popularity of voice activated assistants such as Google Home and Amazon Echo.

Throughout the episode, Cartman and the other boys had fun getting Alexa to repeat inappropriate and childish phrases that young kids find hilarious. It turns out that Cartman was able to speak through the television set as many people watching from their couch reported that whenever a character on the show asked Alex or Google to do something, their own device turned on.

It got so bad that some people had to unplug their devices.
