Harvey To Dip Back Into Gulf, Make Another Landfall In Texas

Tropical Storm Harvey is forecast to move back into the Gulf of Mexico overnight.

Harvey could see a slight increase in its winds while over water, from 40 to 45 miles per hour. The main threats remain heavy rains and potential storm surge impacts for Texas and parts of southwest Louisiana.

For southeast Louisiana, our forecast remains between 4 to 10 inches of rain are possible through Saturday morning. A flash flood watch in effect does not include Baton Rouge or New Orleans at this time.
