Potential Tropical Cyclone Three In Gulf

A tropical storm warning is in effect for part of the Louisiana coast as tropical activity swirls in the Gulf.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the National Hurricane Center had yet to name the low pressure system as a depression or tropical storm, though there is a high chance it could become Tropical Storm Cindy in the next 24 hours.

A flash flood watch that includes Baton Rouge and New Orleans will go into effect Tuesday morning and last through Thursday night as there is the possibility of heavy rains through the middle of the week.

The tropical storm warning is in effect from Intracoastal City, Louisiana to the mouth of the Pearl River. A tropical storm watch extends west of Intracoastal City to the Texas coastline.
