Part of Interstate 10 East is shutting down this weekend for repairs.
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is closing a section of the main artery between Baton Rouge and New Orleans to complete work on an overpass near Sorrento.
The closure is effective between U.S. Highway 61 and Louisiana Highway 641 from 9:00 Friday until 5:00 Monday morning.
