Most Louisiana residents would see a tax cut under a plan proposed by Governor John Bel Edwards.
But according to a study of that plan by a nonprofit agency called the Louisiana Budget Project, the wealthy would pay more.
Households earning between $36,000 and $56,000 a year would get the largest tax break. Families earning at least $203,000 a year would see the increase.
