Congress Asks For Answers In 2016 Flood Response Probe

A committee in the U.S. House of Representatives wants to know why FEMA didn't do more for Louisiana flood victims last year.

The House Oversight Committee sent a letter to the agency Thursday asking for information and documents related to last year's flood response.  The committee's chairman says his panel has received multiple complaints from survivors and local officials regarding FEMA programs.

One person died in a FEMA trailer brought to the flood area when its air-conditioning stopped working and the temperature inside rose above 130 degrees.
