BATON ROUGE (WBRZ) - A few icy spots remained around southern Louisiana Thursday, but the numbers for how much the storm cost parish governments are already trickling in.

"We were concerned about some ice breaking and causing damage, but that didn't happen," West Baton Rouge Parish President "Pee Wee" Berthelot said.

The freeze cost his parish $10,200 total. The amount other parishes had to dish out depended on population and the number of roads covered in ice.

West Feliciana Parish spent around $30,000 to 50,000. Livingston Parish spent $35,000 to $50,000. East Feliciana, Pointe Coupee and Iberville parish spent less than $10,000 apiece. Ascension Parish officials estimate the winter weather cost $150,000-$200,000.

East Baton Rouge is still counting its cost because the closure of I-110 lasted longer than others. Its cost should be tallied by sometime next week.

Most parish officials spent money on de-icing agents and rental equipment.
