BATON ROUGE (WBRZ) - The NAACP is planning to meet with District Attorney Hillar Moore Friday morning to discuss recent issues of people in positions of power making racial comments.

One of the issues: comments made by an assistant district attorney at the courthouse in downtown recently. The prosecutor is on leave as the district attorney's office investigates.

The person's name has not been released. People who heard the comments said they dealt with the names of African American children and came during the national discussion about race and the George Zimmerman verdict.

The comments were made during a recess in proceedings and not in open court.

The NAACP will meet with Moore in the morning and plans to hold a news conference after the private discussions.
