BATON ROUGE- LSU's head football coach got some support from a former football player after a scathing Sports Illustrated report Tuesday.

The magazine criticized Miles for his program at Oklahoma State University, alleging that NCAA rules were broken. Miles left OSU for LSU and his replacement's program was also scrutinized.

The report is split into five parts, with the first posted Tuesday claiming players were paid for performance.

"Nobody was giving us money under the table," said former OSU Cowboy Tatum Bell. He specifically supported Miles in a phone interview hours after SI published its first story.

Other reports are expected to suggest college girls were arranged to have sex with players and recruits and players were given passing grades in classes.

"They just want to make stuff up," Bell said.

"I didn't experience none of this," he said.

Miles commented on the expected contents of the report Saturday during an interview after the LSU football game.

"I don't know of any improprieties when I was the coach there, we've always done things right," Miles said.

The reports are allegations of wrongdoing and are outside the NCAA statute of limitations.
