LIVINGSTON (WBRZ) - Parish leaders could not agree on what to do about a tax-share plan for the Juban Crossing development. So, a plan to give a larger percentage of sales tax to the project died Thursday night.

"The first time they got it, it was enough. Then, the second time they got it, it was enough. Now, the third time," Lana Averette asked council members at the board's meeting.

"If they can't afford what they promised, let them scale back," she said.

Developers have asked for assistance funding the project. It's more than a year behind schedule.

Since there was no support to give more tax funds, it was killed. The discussion could return at a later board meeting.
